Day Ten - Lyric writing

All ten young people were in today - third day running!!!! We welcomed back Cheyenne - a graduate from last year and he supported Rory and Kymel with the lyric writing workshops. It was a pleasure to have him back :-) A good day writing with the young people especially as we were all surviving on only a few hours sleep! Lots of great lyrics written today, will get some of the YP to write their lyrics on Monday in our blog.  All of the young people were able to memorise their lyrics and share with the rest of the group.  A tiring week but we are 2/3 in, so WELL done!!! Hope everyone has a good weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday! x (Linda)

By Mark Clare..
The other day I was walking down the street listening to a beat
it was dark I was trying to creep, trying to sneak on a dude who is a freak
my aim was to rob his f***ing jeep because it looked so neat
I was getting heat from the feds life's becoming deep

Really impressed by the level of input put in by the young people at summer arts today, wish i could work with them again in the future. all pieces of lyric writing are brilliant and the young people should be proud of what they produced because lyric writing can be a very hard and frustration process. ---- Kymel Austin (UMF)
